Thistle teams at the MCA Womens and Mens Bonspiels

Congratulations to the Thistle team of Lori Pelissier, Shelley Smith, Sandy Maskiw and Quinn Jones for winning the MCA Womens bonspiel on Sunday night, January 22nd!

The Chris Scalena and Cathy Cook teams from the Thistle made it to the finals of the other two events in the 'spiel.  Good show, ladies!  The Thistle was well represented.

As far as the Mens bonspiel, Jack Clarke's team made it to the final of the 8-ender event and Darryl Lee's team reached the semi-final of the Safeway-Lucerne event.  Well done, gentlemen!

51" HD TV Raffle

The Thistle recently purchased a 51" HD TV to be raffled off.  The TV is right above the bar.  Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each, with the draw to be made at the end of the season.  Good luck!

Dominion Club Championships

The Thistle will be holding a bonspiel in 2012 to determine the club's Dominion Club Championships representative.  This bonspiel will probably take place on Sunday Feb 5th and possibly Saturday, Feb 11th.  Saturday, Feb 4th and Sunday Feb12th are also possibilities, although not as likely.  The cost per team will be $60.  Only club teams registered with one of the leagues are eligible.  Teams must also meet eligibility requirements as outlined by the Dominion Club Championships rules.  Further details to follow.  The Winnipeg regional playdowns occur at the Charleswood Curling Club from Sunday, March 4th to Thursday, March 8th.
